Bedouin Camp

North central Kenya boasts with characteristics that has immense diversity and beauty. In the midst of the Samburu district, neighboring the famous Samburu Game Reserve is Bedouin Camp located on an 83,000 acre of land, privileged in this untouched wilderness. The land on which that the camp is situated, was once part of the Northern Frontier District and exclusively for government officials only. It was closed to foreigners of both European and African descent. Even today Samburuland is still a secluded area.

The tents are shaded by Giant Tortillis Acacia trees and Doum Palms. Views of the Ewaso Ngiro River including ample privacy ensure a peaceful retreat from busy schedules.

Choose to dine privately with a personal butler under the African sky or enjoy a meal and the ambience of shimmering candelabras in the Bedouin mess tent. Lunches are al fresco at the riverbank whilst you watch elephant drink and wallow in the river. Picnics can be prepared with hampers of English breakfasts, fresh fruit and juices.

The area enjoys ample game and bird life and is well preserved in the natural surroundings observed whilst on foot or game drives. The adventurous might choose to rock climb whilst the fisherman might want to head out to Lake Turkana.
