The area is run managed by local Masai Mara people under the name of The Ol Choro Oirouwa Wildlife Management and Conservation Association and a portion of every ‘client per night’ fee is put back into the community and local projects.
Enjoy exclusive hospitality in the tented Camp located at the edge of a small forest and game is often visiting and observed within close proximity. Pick between a triple room, twin bed or double bed with a unique African ambience in these custom designed tents with ensuite flush loo and heated shower. A solar system ensures 24-hour light to all the tents. Meals are served under the Kenyan skies or in the living room with its roaring fire and soft, comfortable coaches. For the daring we have an open-air Victorian bath nestled in the forest with plenty of candles and sounds from the African bush adding to the ambience.
Richard and his family contribute to the development of skills under the Masai people and follow strong conservation principles. Ample bird life and mammals roam the savannah. Game is plenty in subtropical grassland such as lions, zebra, giraffe, baboons, elephant, rhinoceros, and gazelle.
Various activities are offered including escorted bush walks, day and night game drives, sundowners, days out with delicious picnic lunches into the very heart of the Mara and cultural visits to Masai villages - all tailor made to ensure a rewarding safari of a lifetime. Balloon safaris and day trips to Lake Victoria can also be arranged at an extra cost.
