Olare Orok, Kenya; where lions roam in the vast, rugged landscape. Beauty abounds; the grandeur of a divine location, captured in the minds eye, remains with guests for life. The Olare Orok Conservancy is 20 000 acres, bordering the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. A wide variety of animals are found in Olare Orok, although it is famous for the big cats that roam the plains. Located along the banks of the Ntiakatiak River, a seasonal river, permanent hippo pools are found near the camp.

The accommodation houses up to 12 guest in utmost hospitality, in keeping with fine African tradition. 6 eloquent guest tents are available, with large verandas for private viewing of the African bush. The tents are spacious with en suite bathrooms with flush toilets and safari showers. While comfortable, the accommodation also gives guests the benefit of a genuine feel for real camping in the bush. Food is sumptuous; home baked bread, fresh salads and scrumptious meals are prepared by the camp chef. All meals are included. In addition, picnic lunches, free mineral water, sodas, gin, beer and house wine is available.

Activities at the camp are various and exciting, with game viewing at the center of the activities. Morning , evening and night game give you the ultimate chance of spotting all the game that you would like to see, enjoying sundowners at scenic viewing points along the way. Escorted walks with Maasai guides through the bush bring you closer to nature; breathing quietly and stalking through the bush in search of majestic animals.

Excursions to Mara National Reserve are another activity to keep guests highly entertained. There is a detailed itinerary, including game drives, morning, afternoon and evening, with bush walks, sundowners at superb spots along the way. Highlights include an optional balloon safari and champagne breakfast.
