Guests staying at Mutamaiyu House sleep in luxuriously spacious cottages, each with its own private deck and ensuite bathrooms. These charming cottages are situated along the rugged escarpment, with a beautifully fragrant footpath leading directly to the cliff top and pool.

To ensure visitors privacy, the Main House is set apart from the quaint cottages. It is here that you’ll find a uniquely African dining room, comfortable lounge and well-stocked bar. Guests will enjoy delicious countryside meals, freshly prepared for you by your host.

Outside, there is a gorgeous heated swimming pool, with numerous spots to sunbathe on the sundeck, and view some of the local bird life and a wide variety of animals, as they soak up the sun.

Some of the activities that can be organised for guests include 4x4 game drives in the neighbouring Mugie Wildlife Conservancy where you can view all of Africa’s Big Five, including the rare white rhino. You can also enjoy a walking safari accompanied by an experienced ranger or even a camel back safari!

Another truly heart-warming experience, recommended to all residents is experiencing the culture of the local Samburu and Pokot people. You will get the opportunity to meet them and listen to campfire stories about their remarkable lifestyles.
