Mara Porini Camp

The exclusive Ol Kinyei, one of the most beautiful wilderness areas in the Serengeti-Mara eco-system, is host to Mara Porini Camp, a wonderful bush camp that accommodates up to 12 guests. The savanna plains stretch out into the distance, lending enchantment to the view. Riverine forest, springs, streams, rivers, rolling hills and spectacular views across the Mara characterize this location.

A wide variety of animals make their homes at Ol Kinyei, amongst which is a large resident pride of lions. Ol Kinyei Conservancy is 250 kms from Nairobi by road and a 4 hour journey. Guests are given the ultimate in African bush experience at Mara Porini Camp, with game drives morning to evening and bush walks with trained guides, while living in luxury accommodation.

Accommodation at Mara Porini Camp consists of:

6 eloquent guest tents are sited in the shade of the yellow-barked Acacia trees along the banks of the Laetoli permanent spring. The tents are spacious with en suite bathrooms with flush toilets and safari showers. While comfortable, the accommodation also gives guests the benefit of a genuine feel for real camping in the bush. Food is excellent. Home baked bread, fresh salads and scrumptious meals are prepared by the camp chef. All meals are included. In addition, picnic lunches, free mineral water, sodas, gin, beer and house wine is available. There are a combination of double and single beds available for guests. Solar electric lights are provided.

Activities at the camp are various. Morning , evening and night game drives provide you with all day game viewing opportunities, enjoying sundowners at scenic viewing points along the way. Escorted walks with Maasai guides through the bush provide you with the ultimate in bush experiences. Excursions to Mara National Reserve are another activity to keep guests highly entertained. There is a detailed itinerary that guests might chose to follow, including game drives, morning, afternoon and evening, with bush walks, sundowners at superb spots along the way. Highlights include an optional balloon safari and champagne breakfast.
