All rooms have overhead fans, mosquito nets, showers (no baths), fresh flowers, and personal safes.

The local feel that you get from the streets is hospitable and authentic. Enjoy the sunset with a sundowner from the bar at Peponi Hotel. The barman Charles, is famous for his cocktail "Old Pal". Luscious tropical fruits, fish cakes and waffles with local honey and freshly squeezed lime juice, amongst so many other delights, await you. The cuisine is distinguished distinguished by a plethora of new ways of celebrating seafood, with ginger, lime and garlic. Mangrove crabs, warm water lobster, squid, giant prawns and fish of all varieties are available fresh from the sea. A Swahili menu is also available.

Activities include dhow trips, a great way to see the island. Guests may chose to sail to Takwa Ruins on Manda island, reachable only by boat and at high tide. There guests will find the ruins of a Swahili city that dates to the 16th Century. A full moon dhow cruise takes you on the ocean at night to observe the ancient land cast in shadow.
