Manda Bay is one of the many preserved, exotic islands within the romantic Lamu archipelago. Calm waters lap the brilliant long, white, sandy beach where the lodge is situated. This is the ultimate exotic, restful holiday, perfect for both families and honeymooners. Centuries have seen Arab dhow traders come and go, while the bay remains preserved and natural. Accommodation at Manda Bay consists of:

12 rooms integrate into the local landscape. 5 of the rooms are on the sea front, with the others forming rows behind. There are five double rooms and the rest twin rooms. Further, two cottages can be modified to accommodate triple beds. Cottages offer: ceiling fans, and showers inside the en suite bathrooms. The Cuisine at Manda Bay features some of the best that the ocean has to offer: freshly caught tuna, mangrove crab and prawns sumptuously provide you with the exotic flavors in tune with the surroundings. Special requests may also be lodged with the management. Take in the view as the gentle ocean breeze proves an evening welcome and the gentle waters lull you in a romantic moment: you realize that this is a dream paradise where you are being fed a romantic dinner on your very own veranda, enjoying it with superb company... There is also a central dining and bar area with locally crafted Lamu furniture and a separate living space. A games room overlooks the ocean, equipped with a pool table.

There are a number of activities catering for the preferences of different guests. Manda Bay allows you the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind in this remote paradise. There are also activities for the slightly more adventurous. Guests go deep sea fishing in search of the Marlin and Sailfish, windsurfing, water skiing or scuba diving. With regular sightings of Dolphins, turtles and the occasional Humpback whale, guests are awed at being immersed in such a pristine, natural environment. Enjoy safe snorkeling in the warm, gentle and clear waters. Endless stretches of white sandy beaches with fascinating creeks and small islets await your eager exploration. Manda Bay also has its own private 60ft traditional dhow and it is possible to arrange longer 2 to 3 day cruises, exploring the uninhabited islands.
