There are 6 stone-thatched cottages, 5 of which are bedrooms. 3 of these have king sized beds while two have twin sized rooms. There is also a family room. The accommodation has been built out of the surroundings, with twisted wood and stone boulders. The camp seamlessly integrates into the surroundings, giving you the ultimate natural setting. Each thatched cottage has its own unique design. The cottages are fitted with en suite bathrooms, modern flush toilets and a private veranda with a view make each cottage a haven in itself.
Cultural diversity and wildlife intertwine in the area with the Laikipiak Maasai and Samburu tribes. The camp is surrounded by dense acacia bush. Animals frequently spotted are: the Greater Kudu, the Reticulated Giraffe, Buffalo, Impala, Elephant, Klipspringer, Zebra, Eland, DikDik, Waterbuck, Lion and the Leopard. Bird life is prominent in the area.
Activities are various and exciting. Take walks along the river, accompanied by the local Laikipiak Maasai guides, who pass on their ancient wisdom. Or take a picnic in the shade by the river, and a refreshing dip in the natural rock pools below.
Go on an intriguing safari on camel-back, led by a professional safari guide and his team of Laikipiak trekkers. Another option includes fly-camping out in the wilderness for one or several nights before returning to the lodge. Game drives through the area are superb. Bush breakfasts are yet another activity, or enjoy sundowners as the sun sets on beautiful African days, and return to the bush at night on a night time game drive, looking out for the nocturnal Bush Babies and Aardvark close by.
