Ol Malo – “Place of the Greater Kudu”, set on the jagged, ancient land of deepest Africa, is where you will uncover the mysteries of a harsh and beautiful continent. The magnificent 5000 acre bush home and game sanctuary that is Ol Malo rests along the Uaso Nyiro River at the edge of Kenya’s majestic Northern Frontier District. Ol Malo looks out over the Mukogodo Forests, which are home to the Ndorobo people.

The Bush home can accommodate 12 people with its four guest cottages and two luxury canvas tents. The thatched cottages extend out along the cliff edge and are built of natural rock and olive wood. The cottages are nestled on cliffs with very large windows offering a view to a water hole and salt lick with the ever present Mt Kenya in the distance. Cottages are all dissimilar offering total privacy and comfort. Rooms have king size beds, lavish en-suite bathrooms and private verandas.
Additionally, Ol Malo has two thatched-roofed luxury tents, which have small elephant motifs around the lining. The tents each have en-suite bathrooms made of natural rock, and each tent has its own private veranda. There is a beautiful free-form swimming pool at the cliffside which also offers an incredible view of the valley. A listening service is available for parents who are dining away from their rooms at night.
Ol Malo offers game drives and bush walks to enjoy and experience the more than 260 species of birds and 50 species of wildlife, including; elephant, buffalo, zebra and greater kudu. The area is also becoming known for its big-cat sightings, not to mention the wild dog, thought to be extinct in the area, that are now re-populating Laikipia. Additionally, the Ol Malo offers: Camel Rides, Horseback rides, a visit the local Samburu Manyatta (village), spending a night camping under the stars, and Mountain Biking - for the more adventurous guests. Children will also have an amazing experience at Ol Malo. When they arrive, each child will receive a gift pack. Included in the pack will be a safari journal, small gift and post cards to send to friends. The kids can use the safari journal to identify the animals and birds, insects and plants, seen on the safaris. Should a child wake the parents will be called immediately.
