Loisaba

Loisaba is situated on the border of Laikipia and Kenya’s rugged Northern Frontier District. Views across the undulating plains are spectacular: the contours of an expanse of rugged terrain dotted with bushes and populated with wildlife broadens below the escarpment that Loisaba is built on, while elephants, lions and Leopard, gerenuk, Grevy’s Zebra and reticulated giraffe roam below, fighting for the best odds in an intense battle for survival.

Accommodation at Loisaba is ample, accommodating many guests at a single time, with 19 rooms in total. The main lodge has 7 rooms, including 4 doubles and 3 twins, all with en suite bathrooms. The superb star accommodation bedrooms, Kiboko and Kioja, are each comprised of 2 double star bed sleeping platforms and one large family platform. All have en suite bathroom facilities and showers. Each room has its own private deck with views that extend across the wild lands as far as the eye can see. The lodge has tennis courts, a swimming pool and massage, giving you the maximum relaxation while you enjoy your restful stay.

Loisaba House is exclusive, with a hill-top private pool. The house has been built entirely from the surrounding area, and the decor is comfortable, adding a luster to the ambiance of the rooms. The house includes two bedrooms with en suite, one double, and one twin room, and a private game vehicle. Loisaba Cottage has one double en suite bedroom, with private gardens and swimming pool, giving you privacy to enjoy the comforts of your holiday home.

While relaxing in the bush, you might enjoy horse riding, bush walking, game driving, and camel trekking. For the more adventurous, many exciting things are available to do, such as mountain biking down the escarpment, rafting the Ewaso Nyiro, driving through the wild canyons of the two great rivers that grace the vast area.

The ranch also owns a micro-light and aeroplane: heli-camp, then surf the remote sand dunes of the Northern Frontier District, rock-climb the pinnacles rising from the canyon floor. Sleep in elegantly constructed African rooms under the vast sky littered with stars. During the day, adventure and view big game.
