Built in the traditional chagga-style, the huts provide a rustic, yet luxurious feel. Appearing like a small bird covered in feathers, the huts are covered entirely in charming banana leaf thatch. Inside the huts, guests will be amazed to find twin beds and an elegant en suite bathroom with Western style toilets and a shower. This small camp has a community feel to it, and gives you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the Swahili culture that is familiar with the land and the mighty mountain that towers over all: Kilimanjaro.

While you acclimatise at Kahawa Shamba, guided walks will take you through some areas surrounding Kilimanjaro that many other climbers do not have access to, providing you with the best possible warm-up for your hardest challenge yet.
