Kilifi is a town on the Kenyan coast and home to many luxurious resorts. It covers an area of over 12 464 square kilometers.

Boasting in agriculture as well as clinical and epidemiological research into Malaria, the town lies on the Kilifi Creek flanked by Malindi and Mombasa. Kilifi is situated on the Rare River where a broad lower course of the river meets the ocean. Kilifi is the capital of the Kilifi region and the town has an urban populace.

The beach known as Bofa Beach is believed to be the finest along the Kenyan Coast as well as one of the most heavenly in the entire world. The sandy shores boast with attractive tropical vegetation and wildlife. There are plenty of areas on the beach dedicated to safe swimming in the warm blue waters.

Many visitors hire a boat and visit up creek lush with tropical plants, bird species, monkeys and butterflies. Watch local fisherman fish with traditional pirogues and dhows or join the tourists saunter along the sandy white beaches. Kilifi Creek is very large and can often be mistaken for a lake. It is secluded and sheltered by a magnificent coral reef, unspoiled and virtually uninhabited. This area is famed for its water sport and outdoor activities.

Kilifi is wealthy in history and African Culture, well-known for the ancient Mnarani ruins dating back to 14th century until the 17th century. The site was home to an ancient Swahili city; in the middle of the findings are ornate carvings of a Mosque as well as other interesting encrypted tombs.
