'A home for the Gods’, is the unofficial name of Ol Tukai Lodge; a place of sheer rugged beauty, abundant water, lush grass and verdant forest - with the snow capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, reddening morning and evening with the rays of the sun as days are born and decline.
Situated in the heart of Amboseli National Park, one of East Africa’s most fascinating wildlife and nature parks, game abounds in the area, and with frequent game drives, guests are assured of sighting the animals on which dreams are based; the untamed beauty of the earth, big cats sublimely prowling, massive elephants majestically stomping and battering the earth, and laughing hyenas. Ol Tukai Lodge is known as one of the best places in the world to view African elephants.
Accommodation at Ol Tukai Lodge consists of:
There is a wide variety of accommodation to suit your needs. There are eighty commodious guest bedrooms. The buildings are designed with space in mind, and are decorated with African tastes. Commodious verandas built from gum poles give guests great views. Modern conveniences are abundant, satisfying your every holiday need.
Home for the Gods: inconspicuously tucked away in a pocket of Acacia Tortilis trees and five acres of garden, Kibo Villa is an elegant three-bedroom log cabin built in stone and gum tree, in absolute harmony with its surroundings. Large populations of elephant, lion, buffalo, cheetah, leopard, giraffe and gazelle inhabit the conservation area. Up to 400 varieties of birds can be spotted. Ol Tukai has a specially designed bird walk for the professional or amateur bird watcher. Activities center around this abundant wildlife; vehicles can be booked for game drives. You are privileged to watch the Maasai dancing; a troupe of Maasai Moran warriors will entertain you with traditional songs and dances after dinner at about 9.15pm, on alternate evenings.
