Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge

Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge is nestled in a dense growth of acacia trees in adjacent to a gentle natural spring. Mount Kilimanjaro creates the most magnificent backdrop to this resort and stands at 6, 000 meters high. As you arrive at the lodge you will observe something that is part if the dedication to conserving the fragile environment of the African bush. Guests are invited to plant a tree assisting in the reestablishing of a forest that was becoming barren land from the herds of elephants tearing up the trees for food.

Accommodation at The Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge consists of:

The lodge blends effortlessly into the landscape and was build with conservation in mind and by preserving the ecology through its sensitive materials used in the building process. Each of the 96 bedrooms is unique with African murals painted by local artists, masai crafts and motifs that bring Africa into this living space. The rooms also enjoy uninterrupted views of the savannah and African sunsets. You will be interested to know that the swimming pool is filled with fresh water from a spring flowing from Mount Kilimanjaro. Visitors can enjoy express check-in/out; full housekeeping services (laundry, valet, babysitting on request, children's menus/dining shoeshine etc); full medical back-up and emergency evacuation facilities; extensively stocked Africana Gift Shop; beauty treatments, massage and hairdressing; Forex facilities and a wide range of board games plus a full library of books on Africa.

You can look forward to see over 400 species of birds, all manner of reptilian, flora and fauna and breath taking views of the African escarpment. Every common species of East African wildlife may be seen at Amboseli Serena including lions, giraffes, wildebeests, wart hogs, zebras, gazelles, topi, hyenas, ostrich, hippos and baboons. But, against the backdrop of the snow-capped peaks of Mt. Kilimanjaro, it is the elephants that play the leading role.

Activities include game drives three times a day, sundowners on Observation Hill, traditional feasts and tribal dancing overlooking a waterhole where big game gather, musical evenings and visits to the traditional Manyattas of the Amboseli Masai. Enjoy the savanna of the Masai Mara, the vast plains of the Serengeti to the foothills of Kilimanjaro. The Amboseli is equipped to host conferences and weddings to the highest of standards in this exotic location shadowed by Mount Kilimanjaro.
